Ahhh to be young again. The excitement and fear that come along with your first dance recital. The hair, the costumes, the cute little ballet shoes.
And from the viewers perspective… the absolute chaos that ensues when a bunch of 3-year-old girls try to follow a simple dance routine for two minutes. Incredible.
Every proud parent sits patiently through two hours of other people’s kids clumsy dancing, waiting for the beautiful moment that their talented star steps into the spotlight.
Well, these parents must have been a little surprised when their ballerina-to-be got on stage and instead of prancing… pouted.
I guess her first dance recital wasn’t quite what she expected.
This hilarious video has gone viral and racked up more than a million views after this little girl refused to perform.
It could have been stage freight, the pressure of going on stage can be scary even after you grow up!
And let’s be honest, when you sign your kid up for sports you never know what you’ll get.
Some may love it and dream of playing professionally, while others kick, scream and beg you not to go.
I don’t know about you but I certainly had my fair share of temper-tantrums before being dragged to T-ball, and was known to just sit down in the middle of the field when I was tired of soccer. Sports aren’t for everyone.
But this little girl’s attitude is a MOOD.
Did she have an argument before? Did she miss her afternoon nap? Are those tutus just too itchy?
Whatever happened has really put her off, and she is not having it.
We don’t know why exactly this was such a hardship for the little cutie. But we do know (and have hilarious video evidence) that she would rather stand scowling on stage than dance.
Her co-stars try to get her on board – to show her it’s not so bad, to her to offer reassurance.
They even reach for her hand to join them.
But alas, nothing can get her out of her funk.
It’s so sweet that even in their big moment on stage, they’re concerned about their friend and want to get her involved. Those are good friends right there!
But after realizing their pal is not warming up to the idea, they let it go and have a grand ol’ time dancing and jumping about to their routine.

We all have bad days, don’t we?
Maybe next year she’ll come around and be willing to try again! Or maybe she’ll be skating circles around her team members at the ice hockey rink.
At least we know she won’t be settling for anything she doesn’t want to do! Go girl.
