What’s on the docket? Well, tonight we have a cover of Leonard Cohen’s masterpiece “Hallelujah.”

Needless to say, masterful talent runs in the family.
Virginia’s no slouch.
How could she be? Her dad’s Andrea freaking Bocelli!
Andrea’s finely-tuned Italiano tenor comes in for the next verse,
“La fede mia mi abbandonò
Si perse ma si ritrovò
Perché smarrito sempre la cercai
Bellezza, incanto e nostalgia
Ferirono la mente mia
Che in lacrime gridava un Hallelujah”
Cohen’s original lyrics are in English, but the Italian sounds oh so fine.
And coming from these two, could it possibly sound any better?
Like father, like daughter.
Vocal talent clearly runs in the family!
Andrea is a maestro, and Virginia is phenomenal.
It’s easy to forget she’s only eight!
You read that correctly. She commands the theater without breaking so much as a sweat.
Leonard Cohen’s tender classic continues amid Andrea’s subtle guitar strums with the voices in perfect harmony.

Then, the orchestra kicks in.
That’s right! The two tremendous vocal talents are accompanied by an entire orchestra in the pit below.
The candles continue to flicker on their dark, secluded stage. But now, violins wail behind them.
Andrea even sings a few verses in English!
Their precious, layered vocals ring out into the opera house like angels among the heavens.
Tonight, Parma has been enchanted with musical magic.

Their performance is a gift during these hard times.
In the end, Andrea steals the show with his powerful pipes. Leonard Cohen would be beyond proud.
All the while, Virginia’s right beside her father offering her elegant harmony.
