The team delivered impressive arms presentations and meticulous marching. They performed stunning aerial maneuvers, too. Every single part of their routine was executed with precise movements and you could totally feel the audience’s appreciation for those moves with their enthusiastic reactions. They were clapping and cheering the drill team on.
And even if the team didn’t show any reaction to the crowd, you could just imagine how proud they felt while performing for the country.
The US Navy Honor Guard Drill Team won that competition. Despite competing against other elite military units, they managed to leave everyone speechless with their performance.
Truly, they aren’t just mesmerizing to watch but they made everyone feel proud.
Hundreds and hundreds of hours of practice are needed to bring this kind of perfection.

Their routine typically takes hundreds and hundreds of hours to perfect. They have to drill throughout the day, making their exercises and routines a lot more difficult than a boot camp.
And since they are always working on their uniforms, it’s not just their performance that gets rated and assessed. The guardsmen are also routinely inspected for their haircuts, gloves and grommets, uniform press, shirt pockets, and even the way they wear their brass belt buckles. With how strict they are trained, it’s no surprise how dedicated they are in executing their routines perfectly.
The US Navy Presidential Ceremonial Honor Guard was first established in 1931 as the Navy’s official ceremonial unit. They represent the service not just in Presidential, Navy, and Joint Army Forces but also in public ceremonies around the country’s capital.
They also participate in Presidential inaugurations and during the arrival of foreign officials. The guards also act as funeral escorts for Navy personnel who are to be buried in the Arlington National Cemetery.
