“Wouldn’t you think I’m the girl, the girl who has everything?”
Although the judges couldn’t see the little girl who stepped onto the stage to sing “Part Of Your World” on The Voice Kids Germany, it didn’t matter. The confidence that she carried in her voice came through loud and clear, and made her totally visible during the otherwise “blind” audition.
The bold lyrics sung by an adorable pint-sized blonde named Linnea spoke more than just words – it immediately set the stage for what was about to unfold.
She had the audience and the judges hypnotized right from the get-go with her sweet fierceness.
One of the male judges was so enthralled by the talented crooner, he could be seen creating a heart shape with his fingers. It was obvious that he was totally in love with what he heard.
But, he wasn’t the only one taken in by the tiny blonde singing sensation!
As the camera zoomed in closer to show the panel’s reaction, it stopped to capture the expression of one of the female judges. She could be seen sporting a huge grin, and her hand was lovingly placed over her heart.
Although she didn’t mouth any words, the woman’s body language said it all. She was probably thinking something along the lines of, “Oh my goodness, this sweetie is absolutely precious!”
The song “Part of Your World” is from Disney’s 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect match for a dreamy girl who was about to make a splash in a big way!
However, at this point no one had turned around to see the prize. What were they waiting for?
Linnea’s father looked worried, and he may have even had some doubts that his daughter was making any waves.
Dad could be seen anxiously clutching his fists backstage, waiting to find out what the judges really thought.
Thankfully he had nothing to worry about. There was another reason why they all had their backs to Linnea. And it made total sense!
There was nothing wrong with the girl’s performance – the judges just wanted to hear Linnea sing for as long as possible before the song came to an end!
She certainly didn’t seem disappointed that she hadn’t see any of their mugs yet, and continued to wow them with lyrics like:
“I’ve got gadgets and gizmos aplenty, I’ve got whozits and whatzits galore.”
Guess what? Linnea also had whozits of The Voice Kids Germany right in the palm of her hand. And she knew it!
The female judge who was earlier seen clutching her heart with total adoration could now be heard screaming out “YES” when Linnea sang:
“You want thingamabobs? I got twenty.”
That’s when it finally happened. It was a moment that made Linnea’s mom and dad super proud of their daughter!
The female judge lifted her arm straight up into the air, and in a manner befitting of a reality TV show, the woman dramatically slammed her hand down onto the red buzzer.
Her enthusiastic “yes” prompted the other judges to quickly smack their buzzers, too. No one wanted to miss out on having the chance to coach Linnea and her angelic voice!
