Nature could be quite unforgiving, but sometimes it could be just as beautiful. Different creatures usually do not get along, especially when it’s a predator-prey relationship out there.
However, there could be instances where two different animals develop a bond that makes them work alongside together.
These two probably have one of the best odd animal friendships!
Meet Jag and Bullet, two animals whose unlikely to get along.
Among unusual friendships, this one tops the list! In the video, you can see an adult jaguar pouncing on a smaller Jack Russel. However, the zoo wasn’t even worried nor they tried to separate the two away. It was because they already knew that they are just playing chase.
How did these two even become friends?
Their friendship started when Jag the jaguar was transferred to Akwaaba Lodge in South Africa, and he met Bullet the Jack Russell dog when he grew up. But before then, he was being nursed by his caretaker the whole time, but he knew that Jag might need some bigger space in the future. The time came, and Jag started living outdoors and was when he met Bullet.
There is no need to worry about the two.
When you first see the two of them together, you’d be immediately worried that Jag might just eat the little dog. But after some time, you’ll realize that they are just playfully wrestling with each other. No harm was done for the two, and it looks like they are happy being together.
Jag’s owner knew that he’d be great friends with Bullet.
Jag’s owner has not a shed of worry when she had Jaguar live outdoors along with Bullet. She was fairly confident that Jag will be friends with the dog, and she was right, they became best buds!
They spent their days playing, eating, and sleeping together without a care in the world. Although, Jag was still at that playful kitten stage, and the woman knew that she had to separate both of them when Jag grows even bigger.
The day came when Jag had to be moved to his new enclosure.
Obviously, Bullet wasn’t able to go with his friend into the new enclosure. He was such a small dog and didn’t fit with the huge predatory cat. Jaguars aren’t even domesticated or tamed, so they really had no idea what would happen if they let Bullet stay.
It became hard for both Jag and Bullet to be separated.
It was just the first day after Jag was transferred into his enclosure but it seems the two couldn’t handle being separated from each other. Jag was crying alone in his enclosure while at the same time, Bullet did the same.
The sad pooch continuously whined, hinting to let him see his best friend. However, the people think they couldn’t risk it. Over time, the two just got worse and worse, wailing sadly behind fences.
Finally, their mom allowed them to see each other.
The owner felt sad about them and so she decided to let them meet once more and see how it goes. Surprisingly, when they were reunited, you could see Jag and Bullet’s priceless reaction towards each other. Their sweet bond has persuaded their handlers to not separate them anymore.
Nowadays, the two are happier than ever.
Jag is the bigger and more physically imposing of the two, but Bullet is the dominant one! Even still, Jag is always very careful with his strength and bulk when it comes to his little friend.
While we may never understand their relationship, it sure is cute to watch! In relationships, it’s often the differences that bring you closer, not the similarities.
People often say “opposites attract,” and that saying is probably true! In romantic relationships and simple friendships alike, differences are what make the companionship fun.
