Dog Has Hilarious Solution When It Gets Too Hot
I can't stop laughing!

Dogs are just hilarious, and everyone that owns one knows that a playful pup can cause quite the stir.

This is especially true if you have a fun-loving Border Collie in the family, as Facebook user Cara Wohr can tell you.

She found out just how rambunxious her four-legged friend is when he decided to drag his favorite toy, a sprinkler, into the house to try and beat the Texas heat, which had soared to 107ºF on the thermometer.

Cara is the proud owner of Baloo, a 6-month-old Border Collie who LOVES to play in the water.

Early on after being adopted by the Wohr family, it was clear that Baloo’s all-time favorite toy is the sprinkler.

On hot days the excitable furbaby can be found out in the yard, dragging his sprinkler to and fro as he tries to find the perfect spot to play in the water.

Manipulating the sprinkler into the perfect position alone will occupy Baloo’s energy for hours, as he plays with all the glorious options for soaking up all the magic water fountain has to offer.

FUN FACT: Border Collies are known to be endless balls of energy!

According to The Dog People, these fun-loving canines can play longer than almost any other breed.

“Border Collies seem to possess an endless and self-sustaining energy source…After hours of chasing, running, splashing, and romping—when any other dog ought to fall down and pass out—a Border Collie can still run a few circles around you.”

While her pups water-crazed antics, according to Cara, “keep everyone entertained”, it keeps Cara herself as busy as a bee.

The loving dog owner is used to Baloo playing outside, running, jumping, and smiling as he hops back and forth over the sprinkler.

What she didn’t expect, is for her sweet-natured puppy to decide this particular playtime activity would be better performed INSIDE the house.

So you can imagine her surprise when she ran into the family room after hearing her dogs bark, only to find it being soaked by her Collie’s favorite toy.

Wohr explains that at first, she didn’t know how to respond.

“I was in a panic on what to do. My lamp and TV were getting soaked.”

The whole incident was over within a couple of minutes, and the restless dog owner was able to wipe up all of the water easily enough, without anything getting destroyed.

A quick-thinking Cara was able to grab her phone and get in a few photo snaps before tackling the chaos.

After she posted the picture to Facebook with the caption:

“That moment when your puppy drags the sprinkler through the doggie door…Good thing I was wearing waterproof mascara”

It wasn’t long before her photo op went viral on social media, receiving over 128,000 shares and 11,000 comments on Facebook!

People even sent in pictures of their own water-loving dogs taking a soak, like in the picture above!

Baloo’s obsession with the sprinkler has only fueled his love of water, but at least he is figuring out the sprinkler is an outside-only type of toy.

Now he is learning the joys of how to play in the water inside of the house in a more socially acceptable way.

“Wasn’t planning on bathing Baloo, but he insisted in jumping in with Sally Sue! Never needed to bathe him yet because he’s always in the sprinkler!”

Cara said when she posted this picture of Baloo trying to barge in on bath-time with her other dog, Sally Sue, a few short days ago.

We are so glad she caught this unforgettably hilarious moment and posted it for all of us to see.

Hopefully, there will be more to come in the future.

For now, though, you can enjoy her videos of Baloo playing his favorite game outside, in its rightful environment.
