Blackout curtains are a great way to keep out sunlight, especially if you sleep during the day, want to get rid of glare on your TV screen, or seek to make a room completely dark. While you could go for actual drapes, you can also use blinds that cover th3e glass of the window. As a matter of fact, if you don’t mind a little light getting through, you can even install artistic blinds that look like a city at night.

Here are some blackout blinds that can turn your windows into a beautiful city night view.

These blackout drapes by Ukrainian designer HoleRoll are a perfect example of blackout blinds as artwork. As you can see, the blinds block out a majority of the light, while also giving the illusion that you are looking out at a city at night. There are even stars in the fake nighttime sky above the city.

Here is another picture of the same curtains, this time with them properly in place. As you can see, a little bit of light still gets through, which might be a little much if you have a TV in the same room. Otherwise, the blinds give you a stunning view that you can look at as you relax.

Here is another set of curtains that take advantage of the ambient light to create a beautiful nighttime city scene. Juts ;like the other set of blinds, these let in a small amount of light. So, if you are looking for a more complete blackness, then you are better off going with a different set of blinds that allow in less light.

Like the other blinds shown above, these raise and lower, letting in the light when you need it. As you can see, the blinds actually keep out quite a bit of light, making these a great option for homeowners who want to reduce the light in their rooms, but don’t want complete darkness.

You can also find artistic blackout blinds with a variety of other city scenes. This includes blinds that cover multiple windows to single-window blinds, all of them with a beautiful nighttime city scene. Like the blackout blinds above, all of these blinds are designed to block out most, but not all of the outside light.

This blackout curtain actually takes full advantage of the sunlight. It looks like the homeowner has placed a yellow curtain behind the blind to give the incoming light a yellow hue. You could probably use any color of your choice to get the same affect for your home. As a matter of fact, blue or green would probably look great in this situation.

Please SHARE this with your friends and family.
